Sometimes we get a little disillusioned by the yoga poses and postures we come across on social media, especially all the beautiful backbend and pretzel like images.
These images can often make us feel like we’re not good enough, that we’re lacking something or that there is just something not quite right with us.
Like Donna Farhi states “From an evolutionary prospective, the human spine has no need for the practice of extreme back bends, and indeed there has yet to be a relevant everyday application for touching the top of the head to the feet!
What we do need is regular, gentle and integrated graduated extension that maintains the fluid uprightness of the spine and keeps the spine strong for vertical activities.”
Imagine you’re a tree today, can you keep your spine strong for all your vertical activities?!?
This Tuesday be sure to join Nicole and me, Nina as we explore our new monthly theme – FEAR – 🙀
Come along, have a listen and let us know your thoughts. If you have questions, you’re welcome to post them below or email us.
